Couper-Ball Home, Poggioridente
Montclair, New Jersey. |
When William Couper and Thomas Ball returned to the United States from
Italy in 1897, they built an Italianate home on Upper Mountain Avenue in
Montclair, and helped establish the new Montclair Art Museum. They had a
studio in New York City.
In 1993 the home was sold at auction, but it was a historical landmark,
and the house later was converted to an import/export business
headquarters.
